Broken glass

A few weeks ago, as I was washing the dishes, I put my hand into a glass and the side popped off. I slashed my ring finger (down the pinky side). The cut was about an inch long in an upside down u shape about 1/4 inch wide. It was too far to go to the docs, & we didn't have the fuel anyway, so I covered it with band aids for a week, and didn't do any more dishes!! It has healed up now, but there is a doozie of a scar & it still hurts if I bump it.
