Tooth ache

About 12 months ago, I cracked one of my teeth eating something very crunchy. The hole in my tooth was fairly big and really sensitive to anything I ate or drank that wasn't body temp. I did get used to putting my tounge in the hole to protect me from the pain, well I can't drink cold coffee!!!

A filling was too expensive (around $200) so I put up with it. A few weeks after we move here, i was awoken at about 1:30am. I have never had a toothache before and the pain was incredible. Right up the side of my face to the top of my head and it seemed to go right down to my knee.

I suffered through the night, then the next day with no sleep. Mum & dad came out for a bible study the next night so I asked them to bring me some pain releif.

That night I still didn't get any sleep. Even dosed up on nearly 24 paracetamol tabs & some more with codine, I still couldn't sit or lay down for more than 20 minutes at a time. Every time I dozed off, the pain would wake me up. The only thing that could stop it was to pace the floor for a few minutes, then try to sleep again.

By the next morning I couln't bear it any longer, so tried to find a dentist. With quite a few phone calls (thanks to Jamie, coz I couldn't talk real well) we finally found one and a gov voucher to go with it, then it only cost us $50.

The tooth was finally taken out later that day and I must say, the simple act of drinking a hot coffee is now enjoyable again
