Setting the chickens free

The time has come to let the chickens out of the pen. I am a bit worried about that as the neighbours chickens come over here (we can't seem to stop them) and I don't want ours to go home with them.

This morning I just did it. I opened the gate and they just followed us out. Usually if the chickens have been locked in for a few days, they will go home at night. Hopefully ours will do the same.

The kids had a bit of a play with them and if they are friendly enough, maybe we can catch them if they go astray.
