Spuds 'n onions 'n carrots

Now to grow enough food for us for the year did pose a problem with the enclosed garden areas especially for potatoes, onions and carrots, the veg we use the most of and that i think grows the slowest. Inside the house yard is huge, but the chickens will be pecking there. In the paddocks is fine, but the cow and sheep (when they come home) will eat anything they can find.

This place comes with a shearing shed that we can't use (very broken down and being used for storage) but they didn't say anything about the sheep yards attached to the shed. So me and the little kids took a trip (it's a bit of a walk from the house) down to the yards to start clearing up. The big yard here is for the potatoes.

All 3 yards are in the same condition, but the other 2 are smaller

Hard at work, I did help too
All done, but can't see the empty yard

Now we only need to get the rotary hoe in here. It is rather soft to dig, but too big a job for me.
